Lyrics
“Let’s you and me watch TV,” she said,
As we lay there propped up in our bed.
Now you would think that would
Be a simple task, not at all too much to ask.
In today’s technology maze,
To choose a channel can put you in a complete and utter haze.
“What’s on Fox?” I hear her ask,
Pointing the remote at the cable box.
Now I see a picture, but I hear no sound.
“To hear the sound,
You’ll need to pick the other remote up off the ground.”
After picking up the remote
I now see a picture and hear crystal clear sound.
Let’s go back to the good old days,
The days when there were only three,
ABC, CBS, and NBC.
When changing channels was no big endeavor.
Those times will be no more;
They are gone and lost forever.
“Let’s you and me watch TV,” she said,
As we lay there propped up in our bed.
Now you would think that would
Be a simple task, not at all too much to ask.
Let’s go back to the good old days,
The days when there were only three,
ABC, CBS, and NBC.
When changing channels was no big endeavor.
Those times will be no more;
They are gone and lost forever.
