Lyrics

The bell rang; it was 4pm.
We are out of school
We have had our fill
We’ll be back again, but not until,
We’ve had 6 weeks of fun, and endless thrill.

Each day the class would drag on by,
The teachers so strict,
They could make you cry,
We’ll be back again but not until,
We’ve had 6 weeks of fun, and endless thrill.

We’ll be walking the streets wearing wrangler jeans,
Thinking to ourselves we look so cool so mean,
A summer's day, should be warm and sunny,
But we’re soaking wet, now that ain’t funny?
I guess it goes to show,
6 weeks of fun and thrill,
Could be cut real short if you get a chill.

Each day seems to last so long
It’s impossible to know you could be so wrong,
With a blink of an eye, you’re now old and grey,
But your mind wanders back to when a week seemed like a day?

How nice it would feel to go back in time,
A time of innocence and youth,
When the bell would ring and the 6 weeks would begin.

But it's not to be, you must face the truth,
Old age and time soon robs you of your youth,
6 weeks now goes by so fast
But your memories still last,
You sit back and you hear
The bell rings at 4pm
And your 6 weeks starts all over again
